Zendra has five app plans — Free, Starter, Growth, Business, and Plus — priced by your number of active members. Each tier raises your member cap and unlocks more features, and billing runs through Shopify’s native app-subscription system, so Zendra charges appear on your regular Shopify invoice. This page is about your subscription to Zendra, not the memberships you sell.
When you’d use this
- Figure out which plan fits your current active-member count.
- Upgrade to unlock a feature (like removing Zendra branding, gift memberships, or Discord).
- Understand how and where you’re billed for Zendra.
- See what happens as your membership base grows.
The plans
Pricing is metered by active members — dormant members (cancelled or expired) are automatically removed from the count, so you only pay for members who currently have access.
| Plan | Monthly | Active members | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | up to 75 | Testing a program with existing customers |
| Starter | $19 | up to 150 | Removing branding and selling members-only products |
| Growth | $39 | up to 500 | Advanced billing and access (best value) |
| Business | $79 | up to 1,000 | Scaling with dedicated support |
| Plus | $199+ | custom | High volume, faster SLAs, or API access (contact sales) |
Every plan includes unlimited membership plans and tiers, all access triggers, no transaction fees, and a 100% money-back guarantee. Prices can change — check the Plans screen in Zendra, or the pricing page, for current numbers.
What each tier adds
Features are additive: each paid tier includes everything below it, plus:
- Free — already covers a lot: unlimited plans and tiers, subscriptions and one-time membership sales, member discounts and perk scheduling, content paywalling, free shipping, Shopify Flow and Sidekick, smart tagging, member metafields and segments, and member emails (with Zendra branding).
- Starter — remove Zendra branding, members-only products, signup fees and free trials, gift memberships, shipping discounts, and member-only shipping rates.
- Growth — Discord integration, content and access dripping, and minimum / maximum billing cycles.
- Business — metaobject restrictions and member-only storefront templates, plus a dedicated account rep.
- Plus — higher member volumes, faster support SLAs, and API access.
Billing goes through Shopify
Zendra uses Shopify’s native subscription billing. You approve the charge once in Shopify when you choose a paid plan, and it’s collected alongside your other Shopify app charges — there’s no separate invoice or card to manage inside Zendra.
When you exceed your plan’s member cap, Zendra automatically moves you to the next tier so service isn’t interrupted. Your settings carry over, and you’ll need to authorize the new Shopify charge within about two weeks.
Changing your plan
- In the Zendra admin, open Plans.
- Choose the tier you want and confirm. An upgrade applies right away; Shopify handles the prorated charge.
- To downgrade, pick a lower tier — make sure your active-member count fits within its range first.
Common issues
- “Powered by Zendra” still shows after upgrading. Branding removal starts on Starter; give the storefront a moment to refresh, and confirm the upgrade was approved in Shopify (not left pending).
- A feature is still locked after paying. Check which tier it needs — Discord and content dripping are on Growth, for example, not Starter.
- You’re near your member limit. Zendra auto-upgrades you to the next tier when you exceed the cap; just authorize the new Shopify charge so new activations aren’t affected.
